About the Owner

George Hausen, founder of Hausen Contractors has more than 30 years of experience in the new construction of homes and has built more than 100 homes in Wilmette and other neighboring communities.

Building his business through reputation and referral, George brings a breadth of experience that enables him to consistently deliver intelligent design, beauty, warmth and high quality homes. While adapting seamlessly into the neighborhood, Hausen Contractors prides itself on delivering a distinctive design constructed with classic materials. To ensure the interior will work as beautifully and cohesively as the exterior, an experienced and highly talented interior designer, is engaged as part of the home design process.

George initially entered the Wilmette market in 1989 as a favor to a friend to manage a remodeling project and quickly converted to new construction development. From start to finish, his hands-on leadership with every project is the key to his lasting success. George’s extensive knowledge of construction allows him to manage, collaborate and guide his sub-contractors to ensure the highest level of quality and enthusiasm to create a home. With long-term partnerships, he has created a team that work closely to ensure the success of each project.

After constructing in excess of 80 homes, Hausen Contractors continues to build quality homes and is proud of its quality partnerships and strong referrals from its clients. As a father of five sons with his lovely wife Jamie, George is confident he will have a successor or two to continue the building of high quality homes for many years to come.
